The recent news of Matthew Perry has taken the media by storm. Just two days before Halloween, on October 28, 2023, an American actor most famous for his role in the show Friends, Matthew Perry, passed away. Although most notably known for playing the Friends character Chandler Bing, Perry acted in many meaningful roles during his stardom, including “The Ron Clark Story” (where he plays a schoolteacher determined to make an impact on his students despite certain risks) and “17 Again”.
As someone who struggled with alcohol and drug abuse, Perry found it a mission to help others fight through their own addictions. The Matthew Perry Foundation, a public charity, was set up after his death to help other individuals cope with substance addiction.
With his sarcasm and authenticity, Matthew Perry lives in our hearts forever— not just as Chandler Bing— but as someone who never fails to make us laugh when he’s on screen.
