I had the pleasure of interviewing Robert Spero, a senior student who has recently achieved great success with his internships. Robert is the only senior who has secured two internships, which he hopes will assist him in his future career, as a politician. His first internship is with Goosehead Insurance, which he obtained through Mrs. Russell, and his second one is with the mayor’s office. He was able to secure the latter after interning as a campaign helper during a local council election. None of this would be viable without the help of Mr. Kandil, who assisted Robert in getting his foot in the door with the campaign. Robert chose these internships because he is interested in gaining more knowledge in business as he grows older. He hopes to enhance his expertise in the business world and government, expand his connections, and furthermore develop his sales skills. He will be splitting his time between both internships, spending four days a week at Goosehead and Fridays at the mayor’s office. He hopes that these internships will educate him in time management and how to be independent during college when it comes around.
