The New York Giants 24’-25’ season has been very disappointing for the fans, players, and organization in general. They finished with a record of 3-14 and many key events happened through this season to add on. Before the season started, they lost star player Saqoun Barkley to the Philadelphia Eagles. In the draft, we got superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers who has been phenomenal for us, and finished with record-breaking stats.  His final stats were 109 receptions (Giants record), 1,204 yards, and 7 touchdowns. To make it more impressive, he did this with 4 different quarterbacks throwing to him and missing some games due to an injury. We also drafted a new running back, safety, and other positions that were needed. Our rookie class has been a bright spot for us this season with the 3 main rookies being Malik Nabers, Dru Phillips, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. For the Giants, they started their 100th season as an organization versus the Minnesota Vikings. The new and improved Minnesota Vikings had a fresh chance to start their year off right, which is exactly what they did versus NYG.

Meanwhile, Giants fans had hope for the new season and were hoping for a different outlook compared to last season.

This entire game ended up being dominated by the Vikings as they won with the final score of 28-6. The Vikings got major help from Sam Darnold, superstar Justin Jefferson, running back Aaron Jones, and Pro Bowl defensive player Andrew Van-Ginkel. The Vikings would finish the season with an impressive record of 14-3 and would also make the playoffs. This first game for the Giants would be a perfect representation of how the rest of the season went for them as they finished with a record of 3-14.

Players started to get more frustrated as the weeks went on and this was the same with the fans and the coaches. We all needed a change quickly. The only positive thing we had to look forward to was the NFL draft as we hold the 3rd overall pick. We went through some tough losses early on in the season such as the losses versus Dallas, Philadelphia, and Washington. Although we had many tough losses, one great win early on in the season that happened was when we went to Seattle and won in their place. The game-winning play was a blocked field goal that got returned for a touchdown. This gave the Giants hope for the rest of the season.

After this amazing win versus the Seahawks, we would go on a long losing streak. Our next and final win would come against the Indianapolis Colts. This was a very high scoring game as we would get our third win with the final score of 45-33. Quarterback Drew Lock had a very impressive start to lead to this high scoring game. To put his performance into perspective, he had the sixth best performance ever by any quarterback in the history of the National Football League. Rookie superstar Malik Nabers also had a very good day that day and finished with impressive stats. His final stats for that day were 7 catches on 8 targets, 171 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns. These next couple of drafts and years need to be good for the New York Giants if they want to be competitive for the years to come. Holding the 3rd overall pick in this year’s draft should be a great starting block to what we already have. The Giants are either going to draft QB Cam Ward, QB Shedeur Sanders, or WR/CB Travis Hunter. All three players are extremely talented and will help the team in their own way. Hopefully the one that we pick will greatly increase our win total over these next seasons.

These last couple of years have been very disappointing as a whole and we hope we can turn it around soon. We have a good start, but need more star power and better coaching overall. The New York Giants do have a bright future with their rookies from this draft class and hopefully will have an even brighter future after this year’s draft in late April. Hopefully we can turn it around soon. Finally, as always, Go Big Blue!
