Are you struggling on an elective to take during your years at Parsippany High School? Well, I have a perfect elective for you to choose. Being limited to having to choose electives can be challenging to some people. But, as someone who has taken plenty of elective courses over the past 3 years in Parsippany High School, digital photography has definitely been my number one elective. There are so many aspects of digital photography that have really sharpened my interest for the elective. To start off, digital photography is so fun! The teachers of digital photography give you the freedom to walk around the halls with your classmates and take pictures of things or places of your interest. You’re roaming around the halls and taking pictures, what can be so bad about that? From experience, there are many students in Parsippany High School that are stressed or overwhelmed by the work that their other teachers assign to them. If you are feeling that way, digital photography is definitely an elective that you should take. It is almost a free period to forget about all the work you have to explore your mind and creativity. Besides just taking pictures, the teachers are super nice and lenient. Just because the teachers are lenient, does not mean you should not be completing your assignments though! Getting some assignments done on time may be hard for some students, but that is ok! Digital photography teachers provide you with tutorials, videos and all the help you need to complete your assignments for the class. Not only are the assignments and projects easy, but they are productive. I took the digital photography elective a year after writing this paper, and I still use what I have learned from digital photography today. The tutorials and all the help that was given by the teachers in digital photography adds up in the end. Everyday, you are learning something new. The projects are really entertaining and the help you will receive is excellent. It will be so worth it because in the end, you have learned how to edit, photoshop, crop, add cool effects to pictures and videos, and even more. Lots of students in Parsippany High School chose electives based on their major or what they want to be when they are older. But, it is always great to try out something new to experience everything before you are set on one thing. When I first came to Parsippany High School, I was fully set on what I wanted to do and I would base everything off of my future. My advice is to have fun and try out everything you can before you enter college. It will be worth it. So even though you might not be interested in taking new electives, like digital photography, you should totally try it out. I hope this article persuaded you into taking digital photography because it is a fun, learning elective that I think everyone should be able to experience here at Parsippany High School.
